K-Market Brief explains the Korean stock market in plain English for investors outside Korea.

What we cover

  • Korea Market Close — a daily wrap of the KOSPI and KOSDAQ, with key moves converted to U.S. dollars.
  • Earnings — results and earnings-call takeaways from major Korean companies such as Samsung Electronics, SK hynix and Hyundai Motor.
  • Korea Fear & Greed (K-FGI) — our own sentiment gauge for the Korean market, built from seven market indicators.
  • Korea Investing Guide — how Korean market rules work: foreign investor flows, sidecars, dividends, ADRs and more.

How we work

Numbers come from primary sources first — company releases, regulatory filings (DART) and exchange data — and key figures are cross-checked against at least two sources. Dollar conversions use the Seoul closing exchange rate of the day and are for reference only. We correct errors as soon as we find them.

Who runs this site
