What moved the market
Q3 operating profit was ₩107.44 trillion, up 783% year over year, with ₩106.5 trillion from the memory/chip (DS) division. The quarterly dividend is ₩4,601 per share (about ₩30 trillion in total). Daishin Securities said the lack of specifics hurt sentiment; profit-taking after a 9.93% two-day KOSPI rally added pressure (Yonhap, Electronic Times).
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power ended construction-contract negotiations with the Daewoo E&C–Doosan Enerbility consortium over key terms and will pick a new builder. Daewoo has asked to renegotiate. According to Dong-A Ilbo, the separate reactor and turbine supply contracts remain in place.

Korea’s biggest company delivered its biggest-ever quarter, but the market wanted a concrete payout plan and did not get one yet. With the Czech nuclear setback and LG Energy Solution’s overhang on top, the KOSPI lost the 6,000 level it reclaimed a day earlier, and sentiment stays in extreme fear.
